Not as big a carton...

...as some have received

but here's my order from stage one....

a Leviathon, optional Capacitor Cooler, left-hand Vulcan Cannon (not a big sword fan!), twenty Eisenkern Stormtroopers, three accessory sets (haha, thought I wouldn't have enough with one set but the sprues are full to the brim so I now have nine 'mules', eighty-four 'spare' heads, about a hundred and fifty arms and nearly two-hundred hands to say nothing about all the pouches and packs etc.), two support weapons sets, three female snipers and the alien chappie and pet.
I expected to be pleased about these but, believe me, despite all the superlatives being uttered on forums and blogs about the quality of design and casting etc. they have far exceeded my expectations.
THEY ARE STUNNING!!!
I'll get some of the troopers built over the weekend and actually open the Leviathon box!
Congratulations Mark - can't wait for the APC!

My 'Eisenkern' have made it through customs....

...soon! Soon! Meanwhile....
I read recently that someone wasn't keen on the  'German' style helmets on the figures but there' no need to be put off. I'll definitely be using them on mine (and the wide selection of heads in the accessory set) but I have been trying a couple of head-swaps while I wait very impatiently for mine to arrive. Best I've found so far are these Space Guardsmen heads from Puppets War  (7 euros for ten) as they fit almost perfectly with the figures proportions (I've been spoilt by Hasslefree, McVey and Antenociti et al and won't work in 'heroic' scale again if I can help it). I might actually use these with the metal Kriegsmarine I've still to put together and paint.

Still waiting for my Eisenkern...

...plastic troopers from Dreamforge. I was very flattered to be asked by Mark if I'd like to paint a few but painting and family committments at the moment meant I had to very reluctantly decline this wonderful opportunity. Having said that I did invest in the Kickstarter and I'm eagerly waiting for the 'troops' to arrive. I'm sure there will be a flood of expertly painted Eisenkern appearing on blogs and forums over the next few months so I thought I'd concentrate on the conversion potential of the material and make a few mini dioramas.
Here's an idea for you....if you look closely at the selection of leg poses you'll see a couple of kneeling positions one with the right knee down and one with the left. These appear to be in two halves so if you combine the right and left legs of the pair you can create a sitting pose which can then be used in vehicles. Now I know mark has designed a superb looking APC with seated Eisenkern troopers but this (and the troopers) won't be available until later this year.
I experimented with a couple of the metal Eisenkern kneeling legs - I had to cut these in half with my Dremel - and this is what I came up with (figure is just tacked together)

...another appealing aspect of the plastic Eisenkern is that the 'backpack' is seperate which would enable the figure to sit more naturally in the seat. The vehicle is Antenociti's 'Bear' and I cut away the floor under the dash to accomodate the figures feet and will make a new floor from plastic sheet (on both sides).

It might also be possible to fit some of the heavy weapons in the cargo area too. I'll let you know.....

Another 6x6...

...from Secret Weapon. This is one of the earlier releases with the exhaust system cut off, then  holes drilled and covered with grills for new exhausts. The second edition has a seperate exhaust. Baskets are from Secret Weapon and 'jerry-cans' from Antenociti's new (not yet available) stowage set.

Antenociti 28mm 'Warthog' ADV...
